Catholic Youth Camp

CYSC

CYSC (Catholic Summer Youth Camp) has been a favorite destination of St. Patrick youth for several years now! This camp, located in Ohio,  shows our youth that God is close and church isn't just a chore. Faith is brought into all activities, from the high adventure to praise and worship and small group prayer and discussions. Students travel together with chaperones from our parish for a week of fun and encounters with the Lord. Keep scrolling for more details on the next available camp!

CYSC 2025

After our third trip to Catholic Youth Summer Camp was a tremendous success, bringing 44 students to Ohio in 2024 to experience high-adventure activities and high-adventure faith, we're excited to begin looking toward summer 2025! The trip is open to students entering 6th through 12th grade in the 2025-2026 school year. Our trip is based in Fremont, and all students from the region are very welcome to join us.

We will be attending camp "Week 3 on Main Campus" June 22-27, 2025, leaving from St. Patrick Church by bus at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 21, and returning about 8:30 a.m. the morning of Saturday, June 28. We have 120 spots reserved for this week, with a deadline of February 15th, 2025, to fill them.

FAQs

Who can attend the camp?

Any student currently in 5th through 11th grade.

How do we let you know we’re interested?

Fill out the form at www.tinyurl.com/cysc2025 As space is limited, priority will be given according to the order of those filling out this form.

How and when does official registration take place?

Registration happens through Damascus’s camp portal website, opening on Monday, October 21, 2024. Families who have completed the interest form will be given a group code to enter as part of registration. All payments will be made through Damascus’s website. Families are encouraged to register as soon as possible to claim their spots.

What is the cost? What about financial aid?

The cost for the camp is $625, which can be paid all at once or by a payment plan leading up to the camp. Damascus has a scholarship application as part of their registration. Families that apply for this will not be required to pay upfront until they hear if the scholarship can be given. We highly recommend families doing this to complete registration as soon as possible before funds run out. If more financial aid is needed beyond this, families are welcome to let us know so that we can work out a plan.

How will we get there, and how will we pay for it?

We have charter buses reserved through Arrow Stage Lines. The estimated cost per person for transportation is $400. St. Patrick will put on fundraising projects throughout the upcoming year to offset this cost. Families can choose to actively participate in fundraising (meeting established goals for each project) or to pay $400 to St. Patrick upfront. If there are schedule conflicts, it can be possible for students or groups to fly to or from Ohio; families are responsible for the full cost of flights and for coordinating this with the St. Patrick group organizers and Damascus.

I’m interested in getting a group from my parish or school to join with you; how can I do that? How can I chaperone?

Contact Lori or Fr. Bill to let them know your interest, and have families complete the interest form. The adult chaperone ratio permitted by Damascus is one adult for every ten students attending. Any adults interested in chaperoning can let us know their interest; priority will be given to those involved in various ministries. Priests and deacons who actively minister at the camp can attend free and are not limited by number (pending Damascus’s permission).

If I don’t have students attending but want to support the trip to CYSC, how can I do that?

First, pray that many students respond to this invitation and that we can fill all our spots. Share this link with families that you think would benefit from CYSC. Pray for safe travels and for tremendous Spirit-filled transformation for those that attend. If you would like to provide a financial donation for transportation or to sponsor students who might need financial aid, let us know.
